Workspace

The highest level of organization in ClickUp, representing your entire company or organization. All Spaces, Folders, Lists, and Tasks exist within a Workspace.

Space

Major organizational units within a Workspace, often representing departments, large teams, or high-level business functions. Each Space can have its own settings and permissions.

Folder

Optional containers within Spaces used to group related Lists. Useful for organizing projects by client, quarter, campaign, or service type.

List

The primary container where Tasks live. Lists typically represent specific projects, ongoing processes, or collections of related work items.

Task

The fundamental unit of work in ClickUp. Tasks contain details like descriptions, assignees, due dates, subtasks, checklists, and custom fields.

View
